Meal Served
Our project places significant importance on ensuring a nutritious diet for children. Recognizing that wholesome food contributes to enhanced cognitive abilities, reduced susceptibility to illnesses, and the development of stronger, longer-lasting, and healthier lives, we prioritize the provision of healthful meals.
By emphasizing the importance of nutrition, we aim to create an environment that supports clear thinking and overall well-being among the children in our care.
At Manav, our commitment to providing access to quality education goes beyond traditional schooling norms. We believe education extends to instilling discipline, fostering soft skills, drawing lessons from life experiences, and imparting spiritual education.
Our overarching goal is to provide every possible opportunity, with a preference for professional education, to empower our children. The collective efforts in delivering quality education and emphasizing personality development align with our broader mission of nurturing responsible citizens for India.
Clothing serves a vital role beyond mere protection from extreme weather conditions; it significantly contributes to an individual's self-esteem and confidence. Recognizing its profound impact, especially for the children under our care, we annually provide a comprehensive set of essential items.
This includes two sets of school uniforms, a school bag, books, stationery, belt, and tie, along with two pairs of casual dresses, a pair of slippers, and shoes. Additionally, each child receives two towels, handkerchiefs, two bed sheet.
In the winter season, we further ensure their comfort by providing a sweater, a warm woolen blanket. Our commitment extends beyond meeting basic needs, aiming to enhance the well-being and dignity of the children we support through thoughtful and comprehensive annual provisions.
The project space, located in a rented bungalow in New Panvel, comprises bedrooms with attached toilets, a spacious open hall, and a kitchen. Each bedroom is equipped with cupboards for storing clothes, books, and personal belongings.
The rooms feature iron racks for blankets and shelves for books, school bags, and essential items such as soaps, toothbrushes, washing powder, hair oil, and talcum powders. Additionally, the open hall serves as a venue for evening tuition classes, and the open-air hall in the building functions as a dining area.
For routine health concerns and emergencies, we ensure the well-being of the children by facilitating visits to local general physicians, where consultation fees are kept minimal. Prescription medicines are readily accessible from a nearby medical shop. To address immediate health needs, we maintain a well-stocked first-aid kit and a supply of essential medicines.
Additionally, we actively organize medical camps, including general check-ups, dental examinations, and eye screenings, conducted by local hospitals, supportive friends, and dedicated volunteers. These proactive healthcare measures aim to provide comprehensive and accessible medical support for the children under our care.
