The Locations identified by SAAD Foundation are more prone to the Electrocution accidents nearby electrical towers and transmission wires. Most of the homes in areas are under the category of ‘Slum’ and height of these houses is reaching nearer to the electrical lines. Hence they are being more prone to the electrical hazards. Many of the people living in these areas are working in an unorganized sector and are illiterate. They are not fully aware about the problems due to high voltage Electrical lines.

GOAL

Develop an awareness campaign communicating safety measures involving electrical wires and poles in public places. This will ensure that information related to safety will move towards attitude and behaviour change through a larger and widespread campaign within target populations.

Objective

  • Create an implementation strategy for an awareness campaign on Electricity and the hazards related to unsafe handling of public electric wires and poles.

  • Develop a monitoring and evaluation mechanism to identify and quantify behaviour change due to campaign.

  • Provide reports on the indicators utilized during the monitoring and evaluation process to document behaviour changes.

  • Determine the right operational structure, Modalities of execution, Fund Utilization, Implementation plan, Schedule, Monitoring Process, Reporting mechanism for program execution
